Find out which food products you buy are made by co-ops. Buy co-op and tell a friend!

Open an account at a credit union or caisse populaire and find out about the services these financial co-operatives have to offer.

As a co-op or credit union 

Add the IYC logo and/or theme (Co-operative enterprises build a better world) to your e-mail signature, letterhead, etc.

Hold lunch and learn sessions with employees to educate them about the co-operative difference.

Make IYC the theme of your 2012 annual meeting

Invite your city councillor, MPP or MP to visit your co-operative or credit union

Display and IYC flag or banner (coming Fall 2011)

Can you raise $2012? Start a fundraising campaign to support young people to attend the co-operative youth camp in the province or donate the funds to the Co-operative Development Foundation of Canada, SOCODEVI or DID.

Within Your Community 

Get together with other co-ops and credit unions to form an IYC committee, be sure to tell us about it! Maybe you could organize and event together

Apply to your municipality to have co-ops recognized on the International Day of Co-operatives (Saturday July 7, 2012)

Put the IYC logo on your product

Host a bike relay or tour to promote co-operation- we may be able to get from coast to coast to coast!

Host special activities to for International Co-op Day (July 2, 2011), Co-op Week (October 16-22, 2011) and International Credit Union Day (October 21, 2011)

Get creative: put a co-op float in your community parade, organize a flash mob, 'A Taste of Co-ops'
